This page provides post-eligibility guidance for TEPA-related document preparation. It does not determine compliance, assign customs classification, approve origin, approve financing, or execute logistics.

Guidance Areas

Rules of Origin awareness

Goods scenarios may require origin review, supporting input-origin evidence, and proof-of-origin preparation before any TEPA preference claim can be considered.

HS code guidance

HS code is optional at first check stage, but goods results remain indicative until classification is reviewed. The platform does not assign final customs classification.

Certificate and declaration coordination

Certificate, declaration, invoice, transport, supplier and origin evidence may be required depending on route, product, and documentation status.

SPS / TBT awareness

Food, pharma, chemicals, medical, veterinary, machinery, standards-sensitive and regulated sectors may require additional official-source review.

Sector-specific compliance packs

Sector packs are built only from official sources. Pharma Switzerland extraction is in progress and remains manual-review-only.

Pharma / APIs / Biologics wording

Use CDSCO, DGFT, ICEGATE, Swissmedic, customs and official sector-authority language only. Platform wording remains indicative and manual-review-only.

MedTech wording

Use medical-device regulator, customs, product-classification and official import/export control language only. No device compliance approval is implied.

Precision engineering wording

Use machinery, standards, customs, origin, safety and industrial-regulatory wording only where source-backed. No technical conformity approval is implied.

Specialty chemicals wording

Use customs, DGFT/import policy, SCOMET/export-control, hazardous-chemical, standards and sector-authority wording only where source-backed.

Processed foods wording

Use food-safety, Legal Metrology, customs, labelling, import-policy and sector-authority wording only where source-backed.

Technical textiles wording

Use textiles, standards, customs, origin, labelling and sector-authority wording only where source-backed.

Switzerland country wording

For Switzerland, use only source-backed Swiss customs, Swiss regulator, Swissmedic, standards, product-registration, origin, and sector-authority wording. For pharma, medtech, chemicals, food, precision goods, and technical products, outputs remain manual-review-only and no Swiss regulatory approval is implied.

Norway country wording

For Norway, use only source-backed Norwegian customs, regulator, EEA-relevant, product-safety, food/seafood, energy, maritime, standards, origin, and sector-authority wording. Outputs remain manual-review-only and no Norwegian regulatory, customs, or market-access approval is implied.

Iceland country wording

For Iceland, use only source-backed Icelandic customs, regulator, EEA-relevant, fisheries/seafood, food-processing, geothermal/energy, standards, origin, and sector-authority wording. Outputs remain manual-review-only and no Icelandic regulatory, customs, or market-access approval is implied.

Liechtenstein country wording

For Liechtenstein, use only source-backed Liechtenstein, Swiss-linked, EEA-linked, customs, regulator, precision-industry, medtech/dental, professional-services, origin, and sector-authority wording. Outputs must distinguish Swiss-linked and EEA-linked review where relevant and no approval is implied.

Source-to-score traceability

Every readiness score should later be traceable to source hierarchy, evidence quality, submitted documents, missing documents, and manual-review status. Until traceability is complete, outputs remain indicative only.

Official authority override

Treaty text, customs authorities, regulators, DGFT/import policy, standards authorities, and sector authorities override platform interpretation. Platform scoring is an internal readiness aid only.
